Tis the Season!
Happy P-day Landon and Mason!
The Christmas season is in full swing here. Lots of things to get ready for, ways to Light the World, cold weather and several festivities to attend. Here is some of what we have been up to this week:
Christkindlmarkt in Salt Lake!
Last year we loved experiencing a little taste of the Christmas Markets that are all around Mason's area so we wanted to go again this year. We were only able to make it on a week night which was better cause it was less crowded. Unfortunately Lydia and Jacob stayed home to get homework done so it was just Dad, Grace and myself.
We visited Saint Nicolas! He wasn't as friendly as the Santa we saw while in WA but Gracie was still excited. She also loved this cute and yummy gingerbread man we bought from one of the vendors.
She loves these put your head through the hole and take a picture things....
It's a very festive event. Part of it is a light parade. Look who was in the parade? Do you recognize him and his wife? Yep it's Elder Uchtdorf. He came walking down the parade and was in arms length of myself. He looked at me and wished me a Merry Christmas and I wished him one back too. It was a cool moment.
Our favorite German performer was there again this year. Gracie just like last year danced away to his yodeling and amazing bell playing. On Friday some of the Biddulph's were in town for Madison's open house here. Her and Baylee spent the day with us and we enjoyed going to Chick Fil-A playground. It's funny that we are still going to playlands together.
Live Nativity in Alpine!
On Friday night we went to a live nativity in Alpine. We went a few years ago, but I think you were both at work or another activity. It started to snow that night so it was cold but it was a nice activity.
Waiting in the snow!
All tired and cold on the the way home....
It snowed a little on Saturday but on Sunday we woke up to a ton of new snow. Grace and Jacob were pretty excited. Jacob wanted me to dare him to run outside barefoot, so I did! He didn't last very long. Then Gracie wanted to try too. She didn't make it past the first step.
You might notice Jacob's sweatshirt, he raided your closet on Saturday Mason, but no worries I told him he could wear it this week and then needs to put it back for you. He's just so excited the Huskies beat the Utes and is anxious to wear it (even though it's a little big) to school on Monday. You see his teacher is a big Utes fan and he has been teasing with her about the game, and now that they have won he is excited to wear your sweatshirt proud on Monday.
Alyssa Hatch was in town this weekend. She came for a cheer clinic at BYU. On Saturday night Lydia went with her and Linsey McInelly to a BYU volleyball game, hung out at the dorms and then Alyssa came her for the night. Lydia had fun pretending to be a college student for an evening.
The Jeep got a new battery!
The jeep's battery had died so Dad got a new battery for it on Saturday. We took it for a little spin and it ran great. Gracie likes the Jeep!
Hope you had a great week! Excited to hear from both of you!
LOVE YOU!
