Halloween recap...

Hi Elders!

It was a happy halloween here in Mapleton.  Did you have any Trick or Treaters in Austria or Chile?
We had several in Mapleton and Gracie and Jacob had fun getting a lot of candy and sweets from around the neighborhood.

In getting ready for Halloween we got the pumpkins ready.  Messy and fun job!
Gracie picked out this design and I did most of the work with her help.

I went to the Mapleton Elementary halloween parade.  It's always fun to see all the costumes.  Inflatable dinosaurs were the popular costumes this year.  And the Newsie costume was the most original.  It was a perfect costume for Jacob, he had been planning on it for a long time because he is such a fan... kind of like his brothers (sorry you were never a Newsie, I have a feeling you would have enjoyed it too)  The parade was entertaining although I couldn't get Jacob to stop for a picture but I did manage to get this one.  I think in 6th grade you start to get more embarrassed that your mom is at school😉

Jacob felt too old to trick or treat at dad's office this year so all 4 of us just went and watch Gracie trick or treat.  She had a blast and loved being Moana!

 Close up of their costumes!

Jacob had fun going with 8 other 6th grade friends.  They roamed the surrounding neighborhoods for over 2 hours and came away with a large stash.

Because we were worried that the Moana costume would be too chilly on an October Utah night we put Gracie in the pumpkin costume.  She loves being a pumpkin too, its kind of funny how much she likes it.  She also really caught on to Trick or Treating this year and wanted to go and go.  She loved going up to each door and also seeing all the jack-o-lanterns and decorations.

She did pretty well getting lots of treats for the rest of us big people to share with!

Here she is with a baby in her tummy........  some how lately she has noticed she is not in some of the family pictures around the house.  So she has asked why and I usually have said you were still in heaven, but I think someone told her she was in my tummy still.  So every picture she nows says she is in my tummy...  So one day last week she asked me to help her put her baby doll in her tummy,  and here you go, a funny picture of your silly sister... with a baby in her tummy!

With the weather changing Gracie and I enjoyed a bike ride this past week.  When we go on a bike ride we always have to go see the pigs (they are by the red barn).  At first we didn't see them, but after a little bit we spotted them and they spotted us and came right over to say hi to this pig loving girl.
She loves pigs so much, her very favorite animal, even though they stink.   Her next favorite animal is a cow!

Next week I will have more pictures of the rest of us.  This post mainly spotlighted Gracie.  When I went back on my pictures that's what I found, but it's easy to take several pictures of her since she is always with me.

Hope you had a good week!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
We Love You Very Much!
