Summer comes to an end!

Hi Landon and Mason!

Boy do you look forward to Tuesdays,  when we get to hear from you!  We hope this last week has been a good one for you both.

Here a a few pictures from this last week:

Lydia had her first cross country race.  Regionals were in Springville this year.  For her first race she did great.  At the end she really pushed herself and passed a girl who was leading her.  She was pleased with how she did and has hopes of improving over the season.

On Friday she had another meet up in Ogden, because of Camille being here and also that we were going to drive up to Bear Lake the next day, we didn't got up.  Lydia said the course was challenging but she did her best and improved her time by a little bit.

Camille McInelly stayed at our house while she moved Lindsey into BYU.  One night she asked me if I wanted to go to the "We are the Y" pep rally.  I went with her and it was fun.  All the new freshman make a Y in the stadium.  Then Vocal Point, the Cougarettes, the cheerleaders, the marching band, and some of the football players come out and perform.  So maybe next year you guys will be there.... but we won't think about that now ;)......
Camille and I also went to Swiss Days in Midway on Friday.  It's the town's festival and it's become a big craft fair.  It's so crowded!  Luckily, Dad offered to take Gracie for me that day, I don't think either of us would have liked to walk through this crowd together.

This last weekend for Labor Day we spent in Bear Lake!  We had a good time.  Eating, playing and relaxing.  And we lucked out cause the weather was perfect!

The lake didn't have the best beach this year.  The last summer the water had been really high.  Then this last winter when we didn't get a lot of snow the water went down, but the sand was really murky.  Grace called it "bird poop".

Dad had been trying to make plans on how he was going to watch the opening UW football game against Auburn while we were at Bear Lake.  He was pleasantly surprised to find that the Findlays now have a TV up there and the game was playing when we got there.  He was sooo happy! (just too bad they lost)

We played plenty of games!

Jacob, Lydia, Jack and Brett love the water!

Gracie loves Henry!  She always wanted to "hold" him or take him for a walk.

We went to church while we were there.  Someone wasn't as reverent.....
So we ended up here for a bit.

Funny little story with Grace:  She made a little friend playing in the sand at Bear Lake.  He wanted to share an oreo with her.  She was so excited, cause she loves sugar.  Grace told him thank you and then I told him thank you too and told him he was cute.  His reply to me was "thank you, you are cute too".  I grin and say thank you and Gracie buts in and says "my mom isn't cute"--- oh the things 3 year olds will say.  (She thinks just kids are cute)

Love you both!
