Scootin around!

Hola and Hallo!

It was so great to talk to you on Mothers Day yesterday!  I am so grateful for you and the good work you are doing.

Here are a few pictures from this week?

Grace went to the dentist.  She really likes the dentist.  You get to watch shows, get a toy prize at the end and even get some pretzels and goldfish.  Unfortunately she has 3 cavities.  She doesn't really know what that means and she is just excited she gets to go back soon.

One day I went to the temple during the day.  It was beautiful!  The tulips were amazing, so I had to take these pictures!

Lydia sang at State.  She had fun but was really tired when she got home.  We drove up to hear them sing the 3 songs and they sounded amazing!

Gracie found some beautiful tulips on the U of U campus and wanted to go smell them and take a picture with them.  Grandma Evans also came to the choir concert and we took er to dinner after to celebrate Mother's Day with her.  She is doing well.

Lydia's birthday!  Lydia is 16!!!  She has waited for this day to come for a while.  She woke up to a donut cake!  We all enjoyed her donut cake with her.

That day she needed to have a swim test for the job opportunity at Seven Peaks.  For the swim test she needed a one piece swim suit.  So we set out to find a one piece swim suit with Grace.  Lydia is still on her scooter a little bit.   At home she is walking around but when we go places she takes it.  In the next week she should be completely off it.  YAY!!  (Grace likes the scooter, cause she gets a ride)

Speaking of the swim test.... she passed and on Monday found out she got the job to be a lifeguard at Seven Peaks.  She is pretty excited!

That night we went to Cupbop for dinner.  It's yummy Korean BBQ.  Then we enjoyed an evening at Comedy Sportz in Provo.  It was a fun night!

For lots of reason's Mother's Day was a good day!

1st reason:  Got to talk to both or you! (I am bummed I didn't get a picture of our phone calls)
2nd:  It was a beautiful day!

3rd:  Grace gave her first talk in primary!  (This was a talk I gave when I was in primary 30+ years ago)

4th:  Dad and the kids cooked for me!

5th:  They even made a childhood favorite dessert.  French Silk Pie

#6 . Beautiful musical numbers in church.  The primary sang (Grace was adorable) and all our youth sang.  It was impressive to see so many youth on the stand. (I took this picture during their practice)

On Monday Lydia got her LICENSE!!!  She is so excited!  She even drove that night to the Harvest Park church by herself.  She is liking this new freedom!

On Monday we met Oscar Bastias!  We brought Kaitlyn and Brett along.  It was so fun to meet him.  He was very kind!  He's excited for Landon to get to Utah in June!

The miracle of the week:  The truck's alternator went out.  Dad knows how to replace one, but in the process broke a screw that was part of the engine.  There was no way to get the alternator in without this screw coming out.  It was pretty stressful for Dad. He spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get a screw out with out a head.  If we couldn't get the screw out it would require towing the truck and the engine being taken apart.  And that would be very costly.   Dad was determined and after several hours of trying he got it out! It was the miracle of the week!

Just for fun here are some random pictures of Grace.

Hope you have a fantastic week!  We love you!
