Fear Not!
Hello Elders!
This last week was a busy one. Early in the week we ventured out to MMHS for Lydia to get her concussion testing done. It felt a little weird to be back at the High School without you two. In the office we found this new sign. Also while we were there Lydia was asked to sing the National Anthem that evening at the Sophomore orientation. She was only given a 3 hour notice but she did accept and did a great job. I sent you a link to the video separately.
We also spent the beginning of the week getting ready for youth conference. It was from Thursday-Saturday. Grandma and Grandpa Evans came down here to watch Gracie and Jacob. All went well and the youth conference was a big success. The theme of the conference was "Fear Not". The first day the theme was "Fear not to do good" on the way to Jackson Hole we stopped in Star Valley, WY at the temple there. They were ready for us and we did a service project of cleaning the temple fence and all the other rod iron structures around the temple.
We camped close to Jackson. It was weird to camp with YW/YM but also pretty fun. The kids for the most part were great and got along well. We had 41 youth. Unfortunately we miss several coming due to the first football game that was scheduled that week.
Spike ball was a hit too. Lydia is in the back with the blue shirt.
The theme for this day was "Fear not to Believe"
When they were done we had 9 extra spots, so they did a random drawing and 9 kids got to go twice. Lydia was one of them. She was lucky!
This is Lydia's first rafting trip. (She is somewhere in there)
It was fun Lydia got to go again cause she got to be on our raft. It was a wild ride, we had fun! (Sorry for all the pictures, wanting to document them, plus it's fun to see all the expressions)
The theme for this day was "Fear Not to Act"
We ended the conference having lunch on a church property in Jackson. Dad gave a short devotional to end the trip. He related our theme to seeing the bear on our hike, dad always does a good job! Overall the weekend went well!
And to end this post, here are two pictures of Gracie today (Monday). Didn't have any pictures of her taken this week so I took a few today. If we are home she loves to dress up as a princess. She is loves to be in her words "beautiful"!
Love you very much!
