Happy Easter!

Hello Awesome Missionaries!

We hope you had a good week and that you are doing well. We are doing well at home.

We had a nice week remembering the Savior's final week and spending a little time each day reading what happened that day.  Doing this really helped us remember why we celebrate this fun holiday.

Here are some cute kids before church on Easter Sunday!

On Saturday night we dyed some eggs.  Grace had a lot of fun dying the eggs with Jacob.

We enjoyed watching the Tabernacle choir while dying the eggs and decorating them.  Gracie did most of the decorating.  In her words, it was hard work;)

Dad's office had their annual easter egg hunt.  It was a pretty warm afternoon and they pretty much threw the candy all over the grass.  The funny thing was all the chocolate started to melt in the sun and so Grace got chocolate all over her fingers and it was kind of messy in her basket too.  She had a lot of fun! She loves holidays!

That night we had our annual teen flashlight hunt.  We had such a large group this year.  43 kids!!  Many were Jacob's age and he was excited to finally be official.  They had a blast and got lots of junk!

The Nobahara's do an annual hunt too and Gracie loved this one cause all her friends were there and she got to see the easter bunny.

The kids woke up early and started the hunt for the jelly beans.

An update on Lydia.  (not sure Landon knows) . Lydia has had trouble for about a month with her shin.  We thought it was just bad shin splints and started treating shin splints with physical therapy.  It still hurt so we went to the doctor,  started treating it like a stress fracture until we could get above to have a MRI.  So she has been using this scooter and crutches all the time.    Today we finally had a MRI and found out it is a stress fracture and she will need to continue to stay off it for a while until it heals.  Lydia has been a trooper.  It's not easy going everywhere on the scooter but she is doing alright.  Hopefully in a few weeks she will be able to put weight on it.

Gracie got this fun t-ball set with her basket.

After doing Come Follow Me, Easter Morning we made some resurrection rolls.  Christ is represented with a marshmallow.  We dipped the marshmallow in butter to represent the oil his body was anointed with and cinnamon to represent the herbs that were placed on him.  Then we wrapped the marshmallow in some dough to represent the tomb.   After we backed them we found.....

An empty tomb!  He is RISEN!
It was a fun little activity and it helped Gracie understand a little better why we celebrate Easter.

Later that evening we took some dessert up to Centerville to share with Grandma and Grandpa for Easter.

He Lives All Glory to his name!  So grateful you are sharing his message!
