Nearer My God to Thee!
Greetings Landon and Mason!
We hope you had a good week! I looks like it's pretty hot in Chile right now. And about the same temperature that it is here in Utah in Innsbruck. Hopefully Landon you are staying cool (and wearing sunscreen;) and Mason you are staying warm and dry.
We had a good week at home. Jacob only had one basketball game last week. It was an off week for his game at parks and rec. but he did have a "Bantom" basketball game. They played an undefeated team and put up a good fight but unfortunately they lost. Jacob has become more aggressive and made 5 points.
I mentioned in my email that we got you a place in Heritage. Well here is your building.... This is only one building away from the creamy. Hopefully that's not a problem. Your window is the one in the circle closest to the large family room window.
We sure thought about you guys a lot this past week especially on your birthday. We decided one of the best ways to celebrate you guys was to go to a Vocal Point concert. It was a fun concert as always and we all (even Gracie) enjoyed all the music.
It's always fun to hear where the singers are from. Two are from Springville, one is from Seattle (pictured on the left with the kids) and one is from CHILE!!!! He's the only one from out of the country and he is soooo good. Landon you will for sure be a fan of his when you get home. After the concert we made a b-line to him and he was so nice and friendly. He is from Viva Del Mar. Dad told him that he heading down to Chile in June and he gave some idea of things to see if you make it to Viva Del Mar. Apparently they have the prettiest coast in Chile--well at least that is what he said.
Here he is again! Here he is talking about how English is his second language and sometimes he doesn't understand the words in songs he is singing with Vocal Point, but you would never guess cause he has a beautiful voice. In fact he was the lead in Nearer My God to Thee.
Meet baby "Amber" (Grace named her). Lydia is in a child development class and over the weekend she had the assignment to bring home this baby. It's programmed to act as close to a baby as possible. So Lydia's weekend we a bit altered by having to wake up to feed it it and change it. She didn't get to go out Friday night, and took it to two parties on Saturday. By the time it turned off on Sunday she was pretty tired.
Gracie has been loving riding her bike. Last week we had pretty nice weather so we got out a few times and went around the block. She always has to bring a baby for the seat. Its fun to take her for a walk/bike ride.
I had a nice birthday on Thursday! Dad took the day off and spent the morning making me a cake. He had some complications with the frosting, but ended up making a yummy cake!
During the day we went to lunch, did some shopping and also went to BYU to investigate the housing. That night for my birthday we went to the Ice Castles in Midway. We have never been so we were excited. It's very neat and cold. They have a few slides and tunnels to go through. But over all it's just pretty cool to be in the middle of ice. (probably sounds heavenly to Landon right now)
After sliding and walking in ice shavings for almost an hour we were frozen and ready to go home.
Sitting in an ice throne!
Here are just some cute pictures of Gracie on Sunday. She loves primary and singing about Jesus. She never forgets to pray for Landon and Mason and she often tells us how much she loves her family.
She is also very into water painting. She got a book of pictures to paint for Christmas and this is the last one from the book.
We love you very much!
