Temple and a Campout!

Hi Landon and Mason!

How are you guys?  How was your week?

This past week we took Jacob to the tempe for the first time.  He wanted to go to the Provo temple since he had already been in the Provo City Center and Payson for their open houses.  We were excited to take him as soon as we could.  This week was rather busy with church things, basketball games etc, so the best time for us to go was after school one day.  It was a good time cause the temple wasn't too busy.  Jacob loved his first experience in the temple. And it was wonderful to be there with him.

Dad was able to do the baptisms for Lydia and Jacob.  I was able to watch and enjoy!

This past weekend was Jacob's first Deacon campout.  It as fun first "winter" campout too.  He borrowed one of your packs and was super excited to go.

16 boys went out of 21 Deacons.  And 4 leaders and Dad.  They went up to the Heber Campground and stayed in a Yurt.
They played games in the yurt, had a devotional and went sledding.  Jacob said it was an AWESOME campout.

Apparently the yurt was plenty warm.  With all the snow on top, lots of bodies inside and a little heater it was very toasty.  Dad said he was too hot at night.

The day after Dad and Jacob went straight to Tommy's birthday party in SLC.  It was at Classic Skating in SLC.  Same place we had Grandpa's 60th birthday many years ago, if you remember.  While at the party Jacob took a shot at bull riding.  He said it was a lot harder than it looks, but had fun giving it a try.

I realized as the week ended I didn't have a picture of Gracie for you this week. It's Martin Luther Day today and everyone is home.  Dad is walking out the door with Lydia and Gracie to got to the Rec Center.  Gracie loves to go swimming there.  I snapped these pictures of her before she left and also recorded her singing her new favorite song (look for that in a separate email).

Hope you are both doing well!
Miss and Love you very much!
