Over the river and through the woods!
Hi Landon and Mason!
Hope you guys are doing well! We made it home Sunday evening after a nice week in Washington!
Jacob was so excited to be in WA he wanted to jump in to the cold water;)
Our first day there we went down to Tacoma and walked and rode scooters along the water front. (There are scooters you can rent to use by just using your phone to get them to start, it was fun, just cold) Gracie loved the playground!
Lydia and Gracie were the pie makers. Grandma helped Lydia make two pies. One pumpkin and one Chocolate. Lydia did a great job. Gracie wanted to help too, so she made little pies and we filled them with Cookies' and Cream pudding. She was so proud!
Jacob didn't help cook much but he did enjoy spending time at the McKinney's house with his cousin watching the Macys Day parade in NYC. Dad went with Matt to White River Ward Turkey Bowl!
Plenty of food! Jacob loves the leg!
The kid table! (I didn't get a picture of the adult table:(
On Friday we got up early to go into Seattle and see the Santa Parade. It was chilly and mostly dry. We had a great day in Seattle kicking off the holiday season!
The parade had a lot of the same things they had years ago when we went. It was fun to see them all again. We also got a few Frangos, not as much as we had hoped for but that's ok.
Then we went over to the Sherton Hotel to see the Gingerbread Houses. Luckily we got there early enough that that line wasn't too long.
The theme this year was The Grinch! They were very impressive. We enjoyed seeing them!
Do you remember going to the Teddy Bear Suite in the Fairmont Hotel? We visited it too. Gracie and Addie loved it.
The festive of trees was also pretty!
And they even had a real live Gingerbread house that you could walk through. It was sure tempting for these two to take a couple of licks but we stopped them just in time.
Later that day we visited a nursery that had real reindeer and pretty decorations.
And we visited a great Santa at the Old Cannery in Sumner! It was not busy so Gracie got lots of time with him. She's not afraid this year! YAY!
The whole gang!
Our family!
Guess you can say we kicked off the holiday season in Seattle. It was a long drive there and back but worth the time to be with Grandma and Grandpa. We missed you but know you are doing great things were you are at.
