Determination!

Hello Landon and Mason!

The big news of this week is that we (I mean Dad) moved two large trees on Saturday.  When you think it just might be impossible, dad comes up with a plan and it worked.  We moved the two green trees on the sides if you remember right.
After watching some youtube videos,
dad thought using the truck to help pull it out would do the trick.

Prepping!

We didn't get any pictures of us getting it over to the fence, cause well we needed everyone's muscle.  But they got there with the help of Greg's tractor.  Now just hoping the roots will reestablish themselves.

Other good news is the Mapleton Broncos are advancing to the Superbowl Tuesday night.  They beat the Mapleton Cougars tonight and will play the Mapleton Longhorns tomorrow.   Jacob pulled several flags and made a touch down tonight.  Hoping for a win tomorrow!

Gracie always wants to walk to the park during the games.  I spend 1/2 the time looking at the park and the other time watching the game.  She loves going to football games.  Picture of her walking over, wearing the blue jacket.

The last several weeks Jacob has been an early bird.  He sets his alarm clock for 5am and gets up and gets ready, does his chores, does math on the computer and plays the piano.  His school doesn't start till 9am so it's quite early.  We are proud of him but we have also questioned why it has to be 5am.  This morning he decided to play piano first thing, it was pretty loud, so I yelled from my bedroom to not play the piano quite yet.  Later when Dad and I got up to run we found him sound asleep on the couch-which was a first.  He's surprising us with some familiar determination we have seen in his older brothers.

On Saturday I took Gracie and Jacob to the BYU homecoming parade.  It was also USU's homecoming but with a few things going on at home and the fact that we just went to a game last week, we decide it was best to stay home.  Jacob wasn't too excited about going (cause you know he is not much of a BYU fan) but he went and later said that was so awesome, I got to see Vocal Point up so close!

Gracie had fun seeing some ducks on campus too.

And look at all the candy they got at the parade!

Lydia had some friends over on Saturday night before the Stake Dance.  It was a girl party that Jack kind of crashed:)  Most of these girls had never been to a stake dance before.  It was 80's theme and as you can see Lydia is by far the most dressed up.  It wasn't the best stake dance for Lydia but had fun.  FYI the girl in the red jacket is Megan W sister.
Finally Gracie and I spent the afternoon at Jaker's pumpkin  patch again.  This time we went with Richele and Quincie Cook.  It was a pretty but chilly afternoon.  Gracie loves going there.

We look forward to hearing from you both and how your week went.  You are very loved!
