21 years!

Hi Mason and Landon!

Greetings again from Washington!  This has been the most unusual trip to WA without Grandma and Grandpa.  We have had a lot more down time and we have done chores around the house each day and spent been able to do some casual things around the area.

Last week on the 27th we celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary!  We enjoyed an evening on the water in Tacoma eating yummy seafood and some time together.  It's hard to believe that we have been married that long and then it's hard to believe we have only been married that long.  Time is a funny thing.  We sure love each other and have such great memories of the last 21 years.

Jacob and Gracie are still enjoying swimming lessons.  It's been a little more on the chilly side but that hasn't stopped them for enjoying the pool.  We have been going to lessons and then staying for a couple hours after.

A trip to Washington wouldn't be complete without a trip to the zoo!  We went with Jama and her kids and the Hatches.

You guys are never far from our thoughts.  Reenactment photo!

Other fun pics from around the zoo!

Gracie wants to keep up with her cousins!

After the zoo we met dad at Micro Focus and had an evening in Seattle.

Gracie LOVES pigs!!  She spotted this Pike's Place Pig and was so excited.
She had to get on it and get a picture!
Then a little later she spotted this pig and started running to it.
I don't know why pigs are her favorite but they sure are.

Jacob even lost a tooth while we were in Seattle that evening.  He's waited awhile to loose another tooth! Now he is excited to for some easy $$

Sunday evening nature walk with the McKinney's!

  Throwing rocks into the river!

Finishing up on the yard work at Grandpa's house!  Hauling the clippings away!

Speaking of yard work, on Sunday we dropped by Mt. Baker on our way home from church.  We wanted to check out Landon's eagle project trees.  They are all still alive! It was fun to see the mark that crew made on Mt. Baker that day.

(picture not shown-- we will send it too you separately) technical difficulties

Last week while we have been here was a bit sad.  A childhood friend died unexpectedly last Monday from a blood clot.  When I was a little girl, this girl's big sister was my good friend.  Our parents were also great friends.  Emily leaves behind her husband and 3 children. It's sad when anyone dies.  But this seem particularly said because she left behind 3 children and a husband.    I was able to attend her funeral on Saturday.  Although it was very sad, it felt so hopeful because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There were strong testimonies of the atonement, love, and faith.  I left the funeral wanting to be a better person and come to know my Savior more.
Love you both!
Have a great p-day and week!
