Working on Vacation

Hello from Washington!

We hope this post finds you guys well in Austria and Chile!

Earlier this past week we started with Jacob's last baseball game.  It was a perfect summer evening.  Unfortunately they got killed but the good news is they still made the tournament.  Don't sure if we will be back in time to make the tournament at at any rate Jacob had a fun season!

We left Utah on Wednesday morning early.  It was busy getting out of town but once we hit the rode we felt relaxed and ready for the long drive until we we reached Orem. Gracie threw up!!  She got what Jacob had last week.  So our first stop was in Orem to clean up Gracie and the car.  I moved to the back seat, and Gracie rode most of the day with a bag under her.  Luckily she made it in about 6 out of the 7 more times she was sick. Once we got to Lake Tapps she was miraculously better!

The next morning Dad, Jacob, Matt and Quinn set off on their hike.  I am sure Dad is writing you about it.  But here are some fun pictures.  They had a great time and enjoyed the challenge, and the scenic scenery.

Us girls stayed back and had a nice time.  We went to the park with the McKinney girls.

Lydia had fun with Auburn girls!

And I got to go to the temple with Sali Kai Smith.  It was a nice few days.

Then today Monday Gracie had her first swim lessons (by herself, last year she had one with mom).  She was sooo excited.  I took her swimming Saturday night to get use to the pool and talk to her about lessons, so by the time Monday rolled around she was ready.  She is so social that the other kids in her class were instant friends, and when class we over she was so sad she cried.  She can't wait till tomorrow.

Later the Hatch girls came over to swim and we also played at the park.

But don't worry we aren't playing too much.  I have been doing lots of yard work at Grandpa and Grandma's, as well as lots of work with my new calling as the Assistant RS secretary.  Dad also is working but it's nice cause he thinks he can work most of the time from Grandma's.

But the best part of our last week was talking to LANDON!!

Mason...Landon entertained us by showing us that he drinks soda now.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!  We love you lots.  Onward......
