Hard Work!
Hello Landon and Mason!
It's been a fast and busy week at home.
Busy is good... too busy for the important stuff is not! I think we did alright with getting in the important stuff, hopefully.....
Jacob had his last week of tennis lessons in the morning and Math camp at UVU in the afternoon.
I failed to get any pictures of those activities, but he had fun at both. At math camp they learned a little engineering and built a model bridge and tested it at the end of the week to see how it with held weight.
Jacob also had 2 baseball games. Lately he had been struggling a bit at the bat, it seemed his confidence was struggling and he would rather wait for a "ball" then swing. So we took him to a batting cage in Provo and he hit over and over for an hour. After pushing himself for that hour his confidence increased and he hit the ball every time he was up. He even it it far out in the grass one time and got to second base. It has taught him and reminded us of how facing your challenges with determination can make a difference.
Oh Gracie.... What can we say, she a character!!! She's got a mind of her own and is quite determined with her own ideas a lot of the time. She also says the funnest things and keeps us laughing. Tonight she was playing with stickers and asked if she could put on my shirt. I said sure, then she said "now you look like a missionary". (I guess it was my name tag)
I took her and Jacob to lunch at Zubs this week before math camp.
Rasberries on on! Gracie loves them and reminds me of you guys when you were little and how you would stand outside and eat Blueberries from our bushes in Washington.
Lydia spent the week at EFY. She had a blast, met new people, strengthened her testimony and shed many tears when it was over. She also auditioned to be in the Variety Show, singing the same song she sang at MJHS talent show. They liked it so much they put her as the last number. She feels ok about the performance but says she was soooo nervous. More than ever and that she was shaking. I've seen the video and it sounded good.

I had my June breakfast with my missionary mom friends. All the missionaries sound good. We can't believe we are coming up on 1 year (Brigham is already past and Jake has a little longer)
Dad went on High Adventure with the priest this week too. They went to Flaming Gorge. He says it was a success and they had a decent turn out of YM. When he got home on Saturday, he wasn't home more than 10 minutes where he showered and shaved and ran out the door to an area meeting with President Ballard. I am sure he will tell you more about these two things in his email.
Poor Jacob got the flu bug BAD on Saturday night. He was pretty out of it and missed church and slept most of Sunday. Fortunately he is doing much better now.
Hope you are doing well! Love you both lots!!
