Running, Fairies and Singing!
Hello Mason and Landon!
We hope this past week has been well for both of you. We are excited to hear about Landon's first week as District leader with his new companion and any news about Mason's upcoming transfer on Wednesday.
It's been a nice week at home. Not a lot going one but some good weather and the feeling of the school year winding down.
First Jacob had his 5th grade track meet. He ran the 100m and the 200m as well as the softball throw. He competed well in all and came in 2nd on the 200m in his heat. (I will send you a separate video for fun of that race) Gracie was a good cheerleader too. It was a warm sunny day at the high school which was fun. The picture below is kind of funny cause Jacob looks only slightly taller than Gracie. But she is standing on the seat and he is standing down from it.
The other day Gracie asked while I was doing her hair "What is wrong with my ear? My ear got hurt" At first I didn't really get what she was saying. But then it clicked, she's talking about her birth mark! She noticed it for the first time. Don't worry she's not at all self conscience about it but it's interesting that she just now noticed. It's going down just very slowly, which was what is expected.
This week she also became very interested in helping in the kitchen with making dinner. I give her simple jobs like washing stuff since she is so little. She loved it and takes it very seriously. It's just too bad she won't eat those tomatoes.
Richele and I had a fun day on Friday taking the little girls to a Fairy Festival at Gardner Village in South Jordan. Gracie was in heaven: Fairies and Friends so fun!
They had fairies names A-Z hiding through out the village to find. She was so excited to find them.
Mason didn't believe that Gracie was sleeping in the big bed so I took a picture of it. She still loves her blankie and piggie. And never sleeps with out them.
Sorry so many pictures about Gracie. I am just with her all the time more than anyone else.
Lydia is getting ready to audition for the MJHS talent show. She is singing a song from Waitress. She sounds great! We will let you know how the audition goes next week.
Sorry no pictures of Mom and Dad this week.
We had a nice Saturday this past weekend. In the morning, Jacob, Lydia and Dad went and participated in a service project at the Davis's. Then we went to a new convert baptism of a girl in our ward that is 13 years old. She lives over by the Bennetts. After that we went to the temple and that evening we went on a bike ride as a family. Sure love Saturdays when you can get some work done, do some service, attend the temple, feel the spirit and do something recreational!
We hope this letter finds you doing well. We love you very much and are excited to hear from you!
