He is Risen!
Hola and Hallo!
Wow what a conference!!! Were you guys able to watch it all yet? Mason (maybe not)? We loved every minute of it. The Solemn Assembly was very special! When we participated here at home, Dad in his work clothes, I in my running clothes, and with Jacob, Lydia, and Gracie it was really neat to think that at the same time Landon in Chile and Mason in Germany were doing the same thing and feeling the same powerful spirit of sustaining our new prophet together yet so far apart from one another. The spirit confirmed to me that President Russell M. Nelson is a true prophet of God and our Heavenly Father is at the helm! Such a neat experience!
To start off, here are a couple of pictures of your baby sister! She sure keeps us all hoping around here, but we adore her and she is keeping your mom and dad from sitting around too much;)
Mason asked last week if she is getting taller, and I would say yes, but just slightly. I think the pants she is wearing in the picture of her in the chair she wore last spring too. They are just pushing it on being long enough now.
Jacob had a fun birthday. Since he had his party on Saturday, it was pretty much all about good food on his actual birthday!
Now that he's 11 he goes into 11 year old scouts! Merit badges here he comes!!!!!
I kind of bought his shirt too big, cause I don't want him to grow out of it before he gets his Eagle. So I told him, you have to earn it before this shirt gets too small. I remember how your shirts were big and then they were tighter later on.
Just some funny pictures of Jacob! This was a ball that popped. Now it's a wig!
Micro Focus Easter Egg Hunt!
We had a fun after noon at Micro Focus hunting for eggs and candy and then decorating cookies!
That night we did our annual Teen Flashlight Hunt! We had a big turnout this year. 30 kids!!
Lots of treats were found many trades were made after. It was a fun night.
Between the Saturday afternoon session and Priesthood session we went up north to Luke's gym for the Evans family Easter party. It was a small group this year. Just Grandma, Luke's family (and Dominicans), Josh's family and Sadie came. We had a nice visit and had fun playing around on the equipment. Dad even broke out some old gymnastic moves before he left early to attend the priesthood session.
During the party we had an egg hunt. The parent hid the eggs. Dad got a little creative and hid and egg way up high. Jacob was strong enough to go and get it!
Easter morning!!
I woke up to a little noise so I went out to the hall and found this little one eating her way up the stairs. (BTW, she has been sleeping in your beds since Grandma and Grandpa have been here, she kind of likes it in there and it's quieter for her). She had already completed the first flight of stairs which probably had at least 20 jelly beans. When I saw here she said "I need to eat the jelly beans" oh boy does she have a sweet tooth. So different from you guys at this age.
As we tried to tell here to wait to get the jelly beans with Lydia and Jacob, she noticed her basket. Dad tried to block here and she just ran right around him so excitedly.
Then we woke up Lydia and Jacob and finished finding all the jelly beans. We enjoyed a quiet Easter at home watching conference and having a dinner together with just us. It was wonderful to hear the words of the prophet and apostles. The new announcements about Elder Quorum and High Priest has dad busy planning for our ward. And we are interested in knowing more about the new ministering approach. Plus the temple announcements and the sustaining of two new apostles. It really was a historical conference!
What a blessing it is to have a living prophet!
What a blessing it is to be a member of the church!
What a blessing to have temples on the earth!
What a blessing it is to have you both serving!
WE LOVE YOU TONS!
