Show time!
It's been a busy week here in Mapleton....
Friday night we went to Colton Johnson's wedding reception. He married a girl that is actually his new step father's niece. Totally legal, but kind of funny to see his mom's new last name along with his new wife's name. We saw the whole Johnson family, plus Steven Summers and Brother Summers, and Reed Guisinger. All of them asked about you two and wanted to know how your are doing. Alida just turned in her mission papers and is waiting for her call. The picture below with me and her is also with Bruce. He's gotten so much older looking. Lydia was good little friends with him and she was sad to miss the reception as she had a show that night.
For part of the reception they had a dance and it was all out crazy! Colton and Zack had a brother's dance and they were sooo funny and so crazy! Zack was dripping wet from sweat it was so funny. I think you both will need to have a brother dance together at your wedding some day. So fun!
Well 3 shows down and one to go tonight (Monday). Lydia is amazing! The Little Mermaid show was very good. I think Mapleton Jr. High is grateful to have a new drama teacher. Lydia has had a great time. Here are a few of the pictures from the play.....
Grandpa and Grandma Evans came the first night. Grandpa looked the best he has looked in a long time. He is doing so well. It was wonderful to see!
And don't you love this Little Mermaid! She got about as much attention as Lydia did at the show. She wears this to every show and thinks she is part of the production. She is Lydia's biggest fan!
Here is a little preview for Jacob's play that starts Tuesday.
(we have a play every night from March 1st- March 9th minus Sunday)
Jacob did a dress rehearsal for his school on Friday. Wednesday night he started to show symptoms of the flu. I kept him home on Thursday and it seemed to only get worse. On Friday morning he had his dress rehearsal so he sucked it up for 2 hours and pretended like he wasn't sick. He did pretty well, minus a few costume malfunctions. I went and watched and it was so weird for me as he reminded me so much of Landon in your 6th grade pirate play. With the wig on, his face looked so much like both of you. I felt like I was back in time.
One picture of Jacob, one picture of Landon 7 years ago
On Saturday we had a fun day for Grandma. We first went to Lamb of God and it was wonderful just like last time. Then we went to Brick Oven where we met up with some other family Nielsen members and eat, had cake and Grandma got the Canvas that we all made for her. She loved it!
Have a fabulous week Elders! We love and miss you both very much!
