Scripture Power!

Hello to our favorite missionaries!!!

We have been back from California since Wednesday evening and boy does it feel like a week ago since we were there, but then it was only last weekend... Time is funny sometimes.  Sounds like time is funny on the mission too.

We finished our time in California with two more days in the parks.  Here are a few highlights.....
(Lots of pictures....I hope it's not too much, if it ever is, let me know)

Jacob met Captain Hook and got some pointers for his upcoming play!
He was the hardest character at Disneyland to find and pin down for a picture, but we wanted to get one of Jacob with his character.

Gracie made friends with the Princess and the Frog and got to ride the whole Mark Twain boat ride with her.  She had her all to herself for 15 minutes.  She was in heaven!

She was also very excited to meet Moana!  She loves to sing the song "How Far I'll Go".  After we met her, Moana was leaving to go back in.  Gracie turned to us and said "I go with Moana now, goodbye".  We were like "Uh, No, you stay with us!"

Dad and Gracie were the only ones willing to spin in the Tea Cups.
The rest of us rode but didn't spin.

Thought you'd enjoy seeing the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" ride (formally Tower of Terror).
It was pretty cool!

Gracie loved seeing the Ducks!  They are some of her favorites.
With Gracie we saw lots of characters:)

Gracie was star struck again when we saw Elsa and Ana and Christoph.

Disneyland is a Happy and Exhausting place!

On our last day and before we caught our flight home we stopped by Hollywood!
It was fun to see, but very worldly and trashy.  We were happy to leave and figured, we have been there done that now.

Dad with Micheal Jackson's star on the Walk of Fame
(A mile of stars in honor of all the famous people)

These to stars are for you too.  "Chuck Norris and Don Knotts"

 "Winnie the Pooh"

The day after I got home, I had breakfast with the "Missionary Mom's"
We have fun hearing about all of our missionaries.  Plus we also share the fact that we have great missionaries out in the field that we miss and love dearly!

Jacob had a "City" Basketball game on Saturday.  He played well and made 3 baskets.
Unfortunately they lost, but he's having fun!

Lydia was super excited to find a dress similar to Gracie's "Moana" dress.  And to top it off, the dress was only $3.  They looked cute today wearing almost matching dresses (the flowers on the dresses are slightly different).

Finally, we have been having a little shift in our family scripture study.  With Jacob's early morning basketball practice and Lydia needing lots of time in the morning to get ready.  We were struggling having enough time to read scriptures as a family.  So we decided we would try at night.  We are giving it a week, cause we are having a hard time remembering to read at night.  We have just read in the morning for so many years and it's not habit YET to read at night.  But tonight, we did remember and I know it will get easier as time goes on.  Because it's at night Gracie is awake.  She was super excite to hold her own scriptures and be part of it.  That in it self is a great reason for us to do it at night.  She only read a few words but loved it.  I am so impressed that you are both striving to read the Book of Mormon in a new language.  That has to be hard.  It at times probably feel like how Gracie might be feeling reading with us at her age.  So proud of both of you for your constant desire to be immersed in the scriptures.

LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
