Because of you.....
Hello to our most favorite missionaries ever!!!
We hope this letter finds you both doing well. As always we look forward to hearing from you and hearing how you are doing.
Some things that are new for us is Jacob is now mowing the lawn and does pretty well at it. We got kind of use to having two kids who knew how to mow the lawn so when one of you were busy the other one could😉 Lydia babysat all day this last Saturday and Jacob has been anxious to learn to mow. He caught on pretty quick and took it pretty serious. He just does the back and doesn't whip or edge (yet;)
Jacob and Dad had a fun time at the Bronco game. They flew out early last Monday morning, checked into their hotel and Dad worked while Jacob swam. Then they went to the game at night. It was a late game, it didn't end till 11:30pm. After getting back to their hotel that night and catching an early morning flight the next day they came home pretty tired but loved being able to go.
I have a new group of friends!!! Do they look familiar? Brigham's mom got us together for lunch last week. We had so much fun talking about our favorite missionaries. In fact we had such a great time we decided we would go out every month!!!
We went to Zuppa's and when we got in line and up to order we saw Annie. She was so cute when she saw us, she said Oh, it's all my favorite missionary's moms. Then she started to cry. She made our salads while she cried. It made me a little teary too, as I thought about all the good times you've had with your friends and how grateful I am that you had so many good friends in your life these last few years. Natalie got a video of Annie crying and I will send it in a separate email.
Jacob's football team did well this week. Here is a picture of Jacob playing. He's the 4th player over from the left (towards the middle)
Lydia had her first cross country meet at Mapleton Jr. High. She placed higher in her placement but got a slower time. It had been rainy earlier that day and the grass was muddy and wet which we think slowed down all the runners.
Remember the song I would sing when the garden was on..... ♭"Zucchini in the morning and in the afternoon.......?" Well this week I canned Pineapple Zucchini and Zucchini Relish. The Pineapple Zucchini taste just like crushed pineapple and the relish tastes just like pickled relish. Funny uh....
I also canned more raspberry jam, cause we have lots of raspberries.
Halloween preview...... Gracie is going to be a pig for Halloween. Her costume came in the mail this week and she was excited to put it on and carry around her own pig with it. I think she is going to understand getting candy this year. She has a major sweet tooth!!
Gracie's hair is also getting longer. Long enough that I french braided it this past week.
I want you to know how much we love you both! You are incredible examples to us and we are better people because of you and your example. Watching you serve and praying for you daily has increased our faith and our desire to be more faithful and obedient. You are the best!!!
Lots of LOVE! MOM 💜💖
