Last week of Summer.....
Hi Landon and Mason!
Well, Landon has been in the field one week and Mason is about to enter the field. Such and exciting time. All of us here are just winding down the summer and squeezing any final last minute fun in before school starts on Tuesday!
Biggest news is Lydia got her BRACES OFF!! Look at her beautiful smile!!!
Before and after..... I think she is ready for 9th grade now!!!
Other big news is Dad turned 42!!! He isn't thrilled about getting older but he sure likes eating yummy cake!
We hope you have a great week this next week. We will be anxious to hear where Mason is serving and more details about Landon's sector and experiences out in the field. You are never far from our thoughts and prayers. We love you!

The night before his birthday we went and toured the MTC one more time.
That is 3x's for Lydia, and Me but the first for Dad and Jacob
We got there during dinner time so it was a little busy with the missionaries. We tried to look for a few of your friends that were there, but no luck! The Provo MTC seemed a little overwhelming in size. Dad and I both committed that we thought it was neat you got to go to a foreign MTC even though I might have been able to see you during the tours had you gone to Provo! 😉
We thought it was funny that both of your MTC presidents were pictured by each other.
We did get another picture by the map.
Last week was also Micro Focus's work party at Lagoon!
Gracie really enjoyed the rides this time. I think she rode more rides than the rest of us.
She even went on Rattlesnake Rapids, and loved it!
Just for kicks, here is Gracie right out of the tub.....
She's a cute 2 year old!
On Saturday we went on a hike. We decided to try and find a hike up Hobble Creek. We found one, it was very quiet. We never saw one person on the trail which was nice and unusual nowadays. One of the reasons I love to hike and get outdoors is you leave the world behind and it helps you feel closer to our Savior as you enjoy his creations. I thought about you two on your missions and how you have left the world behind even though you might not be in the wilderness. You have given up the worldly distractions and are doing something so important, even though at times you might just feel aimlessly walking. Because of this you are growing more and more close to the Savior, as you are able to focus and rely on him more.
